Gate City vs. Union is a good rivalry and are normally high energy games. It probably won’t be as close as it could’ve been had Union’s best player not tore his ACL but you can still watch Mac & company go against Virginia Tech TE commit & 1,000+ point scorer James Mitchell

I really enjoy the GC vs Union matchup. Its always a fun one and super high energy and both teams have alot of respect for one another. But i gotta admit, im more excited to see GC face Cleveland this weekend. Not sure what all they have but ive heard they are a tough bunch of kids. Not sure how much of that is true and not sure of their record....but if they are as tough as ive heard it will be good for the Devils to face some stiff competition after being on cruise control since the Arbys.

Edit: Cleveland won their district with an 8-0 record and are 15-2 overall with their only losses coming from Bearden and Hardin Valley. And they lost those 2 games by a total of 4 pts. Bearden was very solid in the Arbys classic finishing 3rd place. Cleveland has beaten the likes of Fulton, Alcoa, Oak Ridge, and Clarksville NE so far. Will be really stiff competition for the Devils.

Cleveland is ranked 4th in TN at the 5 AAA division. They are the equivalent of a 5A or 6A school in VA. The Ware kid has high major interest. Gate City should be the underdog in this game.
