GC started out of the gate hot with a steal and fast break 2 handed slam by McClung....but that was followed by an ally oop slam from Knox Christians 6'11" post player on the other end. GC went into a slight slump in the first qtr and let KC take a 10 pt lead but the Devils heated up before halftime and took a 7 pt lead. After halftime GC showed what they can do....and the game got out of hand quickly. Sophomore Zac Ervin dominated the game in all facets and tallied a dunk tonight. McClung had a great game too and made some great passes around the paint. He also had 3 or 4 slams himself while also missing 2....but it was his assists tonight that was so impressive. The defense was much better tonight for the Devils as well and Bradley Dean was a big part of that. Kid can flat out play on both ends.

Knox Christian had the most size GC has faced in a long time. They had 2 starters that were 6'11" and 6'9" and one player that didn't dress that looked to be 6'7" or so. Was definitely a talented team that was way better than their record showed....GC was just too much for them. GC led 91-59 over the Knights with 3:30 or 4 mins left in the 4th when GC put in the subs.

Good win for the Devils. They play Daniel Boone again Tuesday and then get ready for Wings Academy in their opener in the Arbys Classic.

This is the only piece of highlight I could find from the game last night. The two guys defending in the post were the 6'11" and 6'9" guys for Knox Christian. Nice little reverse ally oop slam for McClung amongst the giants.
