Can George Wythe hang with Graham? They’ll need strong line play in my opinion. Galax is probably the best upfront that Graham has faced and didn’t score on first team. Their O Line was stout. If GW doesn’t have great LOS play, it might be a long night. If they do, they will make it interesting.

If GW can be successful running and passing they can make a game out of it but if they get one dimensional like Galax was they probably in for a long night. I still think Graham wears them down and pulls away for the win.

I completely agree with both of your posts. We have to mix it up to even be competitive in this one so far we've been able to gash the middle in all our games. Then we would hit over the top once they keyed on the run and it's worked for the most part. Not having our starting QB hurts but Smith has done an amazing job so far I've been very impressed with him. He still allows us to have a mobile QB with a cannon and our O line for the most part has done great protecting him. Line play has been really good so far just mistakes have killed drives holding, illegal man down field, block in the back ect. But the blocking has been very good Colton Green is the star on both lines imo I've seen him take his man to the sidelines several times this year. And on D he is going to get your QB at least once amd the guys around aren't slouches they get after it. We dont have the best size on the lines but they are dawgs so hopefully that'll count for something.

If I'm completely honest I think Graham wins I know me thinking someone can beat GW am I ok? But honestly Graham is the better team here with more depth and on paper should win by some margin. And I've said it in other posts if we come out flat or make the same mistakes we made against Radford and RR they will hang 60 on us. If the GW that played against Giles shows up we can win I think but we have to play as a unit and disrupt Grahams game plan.

90% chance of rain at kickoff with heavy rain. I'm surprised GW didn't try to get this moved to Thursday night. Graham is a heavy run team and physical and GW is versatile, but likes to put it in the air a bit. I think the rain favors Graham. With a young freshmen QB starting in place of the injured Meadows, the rain effects Graham a little less because the freshmen isn't going to throw it much anyway. GW has a better chance at the upset on a dry field. With 90% chance of heavy rain and 9 mph sustained winds with 15 to 18 mph wind gusts, throwing's gonna be tough

the rain is going to make it hard to hold on to the ball.

GW was all thumbs against Radford in the rain. We kept putting the ball on the ground against them and that was the difference in the game. They scored off 2 fumbles and that's was the margin of victory. So this may not work out to well for us lol. And we can air it out when needed but GW uses the run to set everything else up. We have a committee of RBs we use so I think we'll be ok in that area but we couldn't hold on to the ball last time so maybe. The main worries for me are no one is beating Graham being one dimensional.

With the Governor’s state of emergency, couldn’t GW cancel without consequences like a forfeit ? If it hadn’t been homecoming, it might have gotten moved. As far as I know, Graham isn’t canceling though. They’ll play in the rain & wind!
