Riverheads girls got to within 3 points late, but Page County hangs on for a 49-43 win over the Gladiators.

Lauren Williams, Leah Hilliard and Sarah Southers had 11 points apiece for Page.

Sara Moore led the Gladiators with a game-high 19 points.

How many of Page Starters are Freshmen?

I know last year I thought and put on this board that their JV team was really legit because had seen them on the AAU circuit as 7th graders.

I know last year I thought and put on this board that their JV team was really legit because had seen them on the AAU circuit as 7th graders.

Starters? Just 1 is a freshman - Leah Hilliard, who plays like a seasoned senior.....just wish she would be more assertive and take a few more shots rather than passing. Caris Lucas, freshman, comes off the bench and plays a good bit. Those are the only freshmen on the roster for us this year. Rest of the starters are seniors. There are a few freshmen on the JV squad that will probably start on varsity next season. One key player that isn't playing this year is Morgan Lucas. She dominated inside for JV last year but isn't playing at all this year.
