The Lady Warriors are their way to winning their 4th state title in 5 years. Central 53, Buffalo Gap 38 in the Class 2 State Championship with just under 4 minutes left

No doubt in my mind which team was gonna win girls' 2A championship. After beating Martinsville last year and knowing what they had coming back for this year. No doubt!!!

FINAL: Central-Wise 64, Buffalo Gap 43.

Bison come up short in their bid for their first state title since 2009.

Warriors make it back-to-back state championships and have won four of the last five overall.

Gap
finishes the year 23-6 overall
(not bad for a team that finished third in the district this season)

How many chips is this for Central??

Four in seven seasons in the history of the school. But before there was Wise Central, there was JJ Kelly and they were always a force at the 1A level as well with Dotson as coach.

If they could have somehow avoided our side of the district tournament bracket in 2016, then it's not too far fetched they might have beat us in Richmond that year as well and we could be sitting here talking about five straight.

But we beat them in 2016 in the district tournament, ended their season and went on to win it ourselves.

Bah, Union still should've beat you guys when it mattered most lolol

No other conference can show four different teams playing for state titles in what, three years? And all four played each other in the title game!
