semifinals at UVA-Wise:

1D- Eastside vs Chilhowie at 4
2D- Virginia vs Ridgeview at 5:30
1D- Patrick Henry vs Rye Cove at 7
2D- Union vs Central at 8:30

Tickets are $10 each. Gates open at 3:00 pm. Thursday, February 22

Only reason you lost to them at the UVa-Wise Christmas tournament is because hothead Kory got a T clinging to a 1 point lead in the final minute. I have faith in you. Sooner Central's season ends the better.

Central seems to be rolling right now, and while Union is playing really well, the offense can be so inconsistent I'm not sure the Bears can deal with the pressure and hold off a great Wise team. It's a shame,I honestly believe Region D has the two best teams in RV and Central and a team like Union could beat anyone on any given night but only two advance. It's weird, Union can't beat RV but can play with and beat Wise; Ridgeview can't beat Central but has handled Union; Central has beaten RV three times but lost once to Union and almost lost twice to them. Shows ya matchups matter. Union's pressure and spread out offense and good length has really stifled Wise's offense at times but RV eats it up.

You just said very well...it all comes down to MATCH UPS - this time of year that is so crucial.

Sometimes, the best team doesn't make it to Richmond due to a bad matchup in one of the regional games with a particular team.

I have to correct you... we actually beat Wise Central last weekend in the district tournament championship. Lol

And Union's win over us is coming. It's inevitable really. And I think when it does, it's not going to be a nail biter, it'll be a wipeout.
