Glass 55 JF 47

It’s sad that the officials won’t let the kids play. They make the game about them, not the kids. This time of year, if no blood is drawn, then let em play. Best team wins.

Maybe the no blood drawn is a little extreme, but letting them play is fine but allowing a physical team to hand check, grab, and bump ballhandlers has to get called at this point in the season. Games will be officiated by the area and expertise of the officials I’m not big into calling hand checks unless it’s inhibiting the dribbler from moving forward. If anyone saw the GS/OKC game officials are planning to control games their way regardless of the implications.

What happened between the coaches? Saw the picture circulating around Facebook.
The Glass coach went to shake hands with the JF coach and players and they would have none of it. Someone said that the Glass coach told JF coach that his kids had no sportsmanship and the JF coach puts his hands with finger pointed in the Glass coaches face. I was there and witnessed someone of it. An officer and another guy escorted the Glass coach off court for a while. That got the fans going and a small fight happened. My problem was when the kids from Glass ran on the floor to celebrate the JF kids ran also and that didn’t go well. The Glass kids ran to the JF side and started clapping in some of their faces and taunting. A few were escorted outside. Glass couldn’t cut down nets in front of the crowd because they made all leave until that happened. The JF coach acted childish in my opinion. That was one of the largest and noisest game I have ever been to. The crowd was electric. The behavior of both sides were bad but I don’t think it would have happened if not for that coach of JF. The Glass administration should also keep their students on their side. I heard a couple of JF fans say that this could have really been bad and I agree. They had plenty of officers in hand

Wikki thank you! You’re 100% absolutely correct!

It could have been bad, but I did see the Glass Athletic Director standing in front of the student section during most of the game. When the game ended, there was no way to contain those kids. I even saw a picture of the Glass principal standing in between the crowds. It looked like to me, the JF fans and parents were the ones involved, and not their students. The Glass administration did all they could, but should've been more prepared. There were a lot of bad calls toward JF at the end of that game, and you could see that emotions were high on the JF side. They had to walk back to the locker room with Glass students celebrating in their faces. I will say that a JF player at the end of the game did show bad sportsmanship and was doing some unnecessary shoving after the whistle.

I witnessed both sides acting badly. It just got out of hand. I talked to a Glass person and they said they usually let the opposing team go through the girls locker room entrance to avoid what happened but for some reason that didn't happen that night. The entire thing started when the Glass coach tried to shake hands with the JF players and they wouldn't and the Glass coach told the JF coach that his kids were not showing sportsmanship and then he got in the Glass coaches face.
