Even though the game is at Martinsville, I think Glenvar gets the win by 7. Glenvar is one of those teams that has come together, is clicking on all cylinders, and believes in themselves. They will be a tough out from here on out.

Unless DR got a good bit better I would give Glenvar 14.

Martinsville looks to be a team that plays down to the level of their competition. They’ve won when they had to. Should be a good one.

Dan River was a much better team the second half of the season. Shamar Ferguson moved to QB fulltime the Appo week and Jaidon Haynes (#1) moved to WR and ended up being the 2nd leading receiver for the Wildcats behind TyLyric Coleman (#2).

We played Martinsville the next week after we got whipped by Bassett 63-7. Jakari Thomas (#12), DAndre Thomas (51/58) and Malachi James (#32) didn't play in the first contest against Martinsville.

The Wildcats had a good game plan - You can run the ball on Martinsville. The key with Martinsville is you cannot give up the big plays - they feed off of those plays. DR was up 14-0 with ball (threw interception), Bulldogs come down and score. They had two 1-play drives that resulted in scores for Martinsville. Also, Martinsville can and will hit you hard. Coach Martin has done an outstanding job turning that program around & I have nothing but respect for him.

This game is going to be a good one! Maybe overtime. This freshman QB is going to be the main factor in my opinion.

Very surprised Dan River almost pulled the upset last night, really has me rethinking that team. I'll have to say Glenvar by 21.

Oldfool you are probably right. Martinsville is pretty bad. I really feel like Glenvar wins by 30, I was just trying to be supportive of the Dogs by originally saying they lose by 20. I hope the Glenvar coach doesn't embarrass them to bad next Friday. And if they do, we'll rest over the weekend and on Monday we will start to get ready for roundball.

You crack me up lol. always dogging your team! I'm actually glad to see Martinsville doing well again reminds me the 70's when they used to battle E C Glass.

I see what you did there, I'm dogging the Dogs. No not dogging them, they're are 10-1, they have beat everybody in front of them except Magna Vista and they led that game in the 4th quarter, but yet people still question them. They might get beat by 50 next week but it doesn't take away from the fact that this has been a real good year for the players and coaches. Yeah I remember the 60's and 70's also. Martinsville had 1400-1500 in the high school and used to be in the old Western district with Glass, GW, Jefferson, and all those big schools. Now we have barely over 500 kids and still play in a district with where we are the smallest school and it isn't even close. They've really overachieved this year. Hopefully they can keep it close next week.

Oh shoot Glenvar by 40 !!!!! No not really I think martinsville shows up ready to go and wins this game , they just have the athletes to match up with Glenvars passing game to keep it close , it could be another high scoring game but looking for a shoot out in dogville

One heck of a football game. I think this one will be as good as Appo and Radford. Just tough to beat the 2 matchups C is having this year. Anyway we could stagger these 2 games to different days? I would drive to Mavahi in a heartbeat to see it if not the same time as Radford.

Did Martinsville shut somebody out this year? I don't remember. Hopefully it will be a good game but it's tough to beat a good team twice in a season and Glenvar is a good team. But as Coach Martin would say "I'll just show up with my rag-tag bunch and do the best that we can".

Glenvar is playing well right now. I am going with Glenvar by 14. 35-21.

Glenvar is well coached and a dangerous team to play twice, especially if you beat them the first time around, just ask Floyd. I think Glenvar wins by 10-14.

Glenvar has made dramatic improvements over the past 3 weeks in every phase of the game. Martinsville has that winning mindset and finds a way to win, which will be tough to beat.

It will come down to Glenvar limiting the big plays from Martinsville, while controlling the ball behind a good offensive line to keep Martinsville's offense off the field. They did it with Radford. Whether they can do it against Martinsville remains to be seen.

Glenvar 28-21

Glenvar's not the best team in C2 but they're arguably playing like it right now and that's what matters. Feels like Mville has peaked while Glenvar is peaking.

Glenvar's not the best team in C2
I'm an outsider from D looking in on C, but I'm not so sure about that. Glenvar might have been the best team all along, but had some injuries along the way and got healthy, made a change at QB, and now you are seeing their true colors.

With all the rain and little chance of the field drying out, there is a small chance the game might be moved to Sat at Cburg. did that a few years ago with Gretna.

Martinsville shut out GW 14-0.
