As I write this, we are only four hours away from the Lady Gladiators taking the floor against defending state champ Auburn on its own court, so we KNOW that will be a challenge. It will be Riverheads' third straight try at that elusive state crown and a re-match from the Fall 2019 championship match played in the Salem Civic Center.
Then in about 22 hours, the much-discussed Riverheads at West Point football game will kick off. Best of luck to all fans traveling to and from either game and as for football, some folks are hoping for rain and others hoping it will stay away, so one or the other group will get its wish.
I personally have to miss both games due to another obligation but I will trust NFHS to give me at least a watchable stream tonight from Auburn and of course I just KNOW that the Casto Broadcasting Company will be in fine form for tomorrow's game. Sounds like there will be other options available for seeing that one as well.
I will do my best to file a second-hand report on both events and if RHS does win tomorrow, I WILL be back on duty next week for the state final! Happy Trails everyone!
