good luck to him
Ditto on the good luck. He has just about zero talent returning. 1-9.
He's coming from Dinwiddie, in other words, he's a winner. All it takes is the right man...Ask Franklin County.
Hopefully Edwards will get FC on the positive end of the wins ledger this year. (After the Salem game anyways)
Let’s extend that to a week, after the Glass game lol
I hear that FC should be good. Their JV team beat Salem last year, which is always a good sign. I know they barely loss to Glass and GW. The program will see better days.
FC had only 8 seniors on their roster last season. Future looks bright there.
They always have huge linemen and big time community support. Gotta develope some skill guys. The basketball program is really doing big things.
The FC JV team beat Salem 13-9 led by the play of a Freshman RB (Witcher- I think he had a brother or cousin that went on to play at VMI) who had a KO return for a TD to start the 2nd half. I saw Coach Edwards after one of Salem's games and I said how well Witcher played and he said he looked forward to having him on Varsity.
I wouldn't quite say "barely" lost to Glass, final score was 45-21.
Good stuff Vols. It said FC’s JV lost 13-9 to Glass on maxpreps.
My mistake. I read your original post as if you were referring to the varsity team. If you are talking about JV then yes, it was a close game.
