Graham at Fort Chiswell

I'm with you. I don't know much about Fort. They have a couple of good wins on their resume, but a couple of head scratchers also.

Only two losses are Galax and Floyd. Both quality teams. It all depends which game FC brings. When they want to they can play with anyone. Home field advantage is good for the fort. It will be a interesting game that’s for sure. Graham usually has FC’s number. I think it’ll be closer this year, and could throw a surprise if played right.

thoughts? I still don't know much about Fort.

@FORT89 ?
Well I’ve been scratching my head all year about this team. I believe if used correctly, this team is a lot better than last years team. The play book seems to shrink on Friday night, after practicing different plays all week. I hope Tiller takes a more hands on approach to calling plays. Could Fort shock everyone by beating Graham, absolutely. In order to do so, we need to control the ball on offense. Long drives to eat up the clock and DONT kick it to their speed.

Graham's defense and speed have been their best assets this year. If you don't have an overpowering line to move the ball then you'll have to get creative on offense to beat them. No team has had any real success passing on them this year as the secondary is very athletic. Bluefield and more so Giles had success by pounding the ball for 3-4 yards at a time and controlling the clock.

Another tip would be do everything you can to not let #5 touch the ball on offense and definitely don't kick it to him. I still haven't decided whether I'm gonna drive over tonight to watch or not. The last time I was at Fort Chiswell's field I was playing for Pocahontas in '07 and we lost a tough game there 33-30ish I think. Not the best memory! lol

Shake up in region D tonight ! How will the points change in that region ?

Union will probably move up to #1, Ridgeview 2, Graham 3, Marion 4 & Virginia 5, but Whatever it looks like after this week it'll most likely look way different the week after.

That would be #10, I heard a lot about 5 but 10 was the man. The only weakness I saw last night was special teams. Fort gashed them all night on their not so special teams. They get that fixed and they will be a tough out.

Graham played much better this week
I thought fort looked like they were beat before taking the field. Not the same team I’ve watched all year. Graham made plays but we showed no emotion or life on the field. If we take that in to the playoffs, done in a bad way.

Cooke only touched the ball 4-5 times all nite, not sure what the deal was with that. Graham’s QB pretty much beat them by himself he didn’t need much help I guess. I agree with the special teams play of graham, what in the world were they doing on that first FC punt? FC punter looked around like “hey where’s everybody at?” then just runs down the field about 50 yards... never seen that before in HS football
