Lucas was right. I was wrong. #4 should be the qb for Graham. #10 is the 2nd best athlete on that team, but had trouble all night making reads and forced some throws into coverage. I think it would do Graham better with #4 at qb and #10 getting the ball as a receiver and returner and using his athleticism to make plays. Graham could be an extremely dangerous team, but they have a lot of things to figure out. Also to lose the way they did really sucked, going in for the game winning td and have a controversial fumble call after he appeared to cross the goal line. Very close call, however I thought Graham was a superior team to Bluefield and they never should have been in that position. Graham, you have got to get the ball to your athletes in space!! Chucking it deep down the field into double coverage does not work. Just get the ball to #5 and #10. Not too many teams in 2A ball have the speed to march those two. Taking nothing away from Bluefield, they did what they had to do to win and they have a very good team who should go deep in the AA playoffs in WV this season.
Hopefully this will serve as a wake up call to Graham to get their offense straightened out and they can be very dangerous. On a positive note for Graham, the defense played great and only allowed 10 points to a very explosive Bluefield team.
