Great article about a great man! I was fortunate enough to have played for Coach Smith at Heritage and I can honestly say that he really does care about his players becoming the best persona they can become. I was one of those players that was headed down the wrong path in high school and it was Coach Smith that got me going in the right direction. He was the only father figure I have ever had and he is the person I call every father's day. I tell people all the time that there is no doubt I wouldn't be the man I am today without the grace of God and Coach Smith's guidance. He taught me how to be a great man, husband, and now, a great father to my own son. Excellent article on a much deserving man!
