Grundy vs Hurley

I wouldn't say that lol yes good showing tonight for Grundy but the competition gets much stiffer the closer you get to Chilhowie and Roanoke.
Galax comes out of the West. Who usually comes out of the West? Galax or George Wythe? Right. Why would this year be much different? GW is down this year and they ain't coming out of the West. Galax is very young and very talented and they are exactly.....exactly right on point from what is expected from their coach. He's a mastermind, and they have improved at a far higher rate from week 1 until today compared to the other West 1A teams. The beating of Fort Chiswell tonight was evidence of that. Fort Chiswell is a pretty good football team and Galax took them apart. Chilhowie and Narrows are fashionable picks and people are happy they have good and competitive football teams this year, and of course Grundy looks good according to their record anyway, but you and I both know, come November, these 3 are not going to beat Galax, if any of the 3 have to play them. It's just not going to happen. By the way, they better take their best shot this year because Galax is incredibly young. As long as their coach stays at Galax, they are going to be in the thick of competing for state titles for a long time.
Couldn't agree more Galax is the current class of the west. They shouldn't have much trouble at all with and C or D teams. And yes that includes MY MAROONS I honestly think Chilhowie is the best team in D. But Galax is the only and I mean inky team with even a small chance of having a good game in Salem.
Chilhowie returns 40 of the 45 players on the team. They had the lead against the teams they lost to this year,
But failed to hold the lead against unbeaten 2A Marion, once beaten 2A Virginia High and a very good George Wythe squad. Hopefully they will continue to improve and be in a position to challenge teams the caliber of Galax.
