GW-7 Grundy-16 5:34 1st Q Grundy again on a big play. GW has met them at the line almost every play arm tackling strikes again.
GW-7 Grundy-22 32 seconds left in the 1st Q Grundy is doing what they want right now and GW doesn't seem to mind much at all. Another HUGE! Run up the gut this time from close to 70 yards GW making stupid mistakes jumping offsides and trying to hug them to the ground.
I'll say one thing about Grundy is they're physical and have a tough RB

GW-14 Grundy-28 6 seconds left before half and guess what another big run for a TD. This coach for Grundy has watched some film and the dude is conducting a master class haha.
GW-20 Grundy-28 7:30 3rd Q Smith from 6 yards out. GW drove down field on the opening drive of the second half.
GW-20 Grundy-34 3:09 3rd Q same up the gut from about 35 out. GW had Grundy on 4th down again and again we jump offsides and gift the 1st. That's probably 5 or 6 times tonight just a mistake filled game for GW so far. Grundy is doing exactly what they need to and playing mistake free for the most part. I'll say I'm very impressed with this Grundy group they're easily the best 1A team we've seen so far this year.
Is Ian Scammel the one from Grundy who is doing the most damage? That kid is a really good power back

And the better team is going to win this game tonight these boys from Grundy came to play and that they did. I'll be shocked if they don't win D this year just a physical gritty bunch that hits you in the mouth and wants you to say something about it lol. This is old school smash mouth and GW wasn't ready for it tonight maybe it's time to get back to the fundamentals for us. Whichever one it is they are men haha we can tackle them to save our lives. Looks like all that championship level wrestling pays off on the field too.
Hurley has them in two weeks, hope they can do better than GW has so far.
This is probably the least fundamental GW team I have seen in years. The defense on the first 2 plays was trying to figure out where they were supposed to be when the ball was snapped; unbelievable. It also seems as though the defense lets the ball carrier run by them and then tries to grab them as they run by instead of trying to come up and hit the ball carrier. I actually thought our line was pretty good until tonight. Maybe Auburn Won't cancel.
First sorry to hear about y'all's school those kids and the community have been through so much. And I can almost 100% promise y'all will do better cause there is no way possible you can do worse lol. GW pooped the bed bad last night and like I said the better team won simple as that.
Couldn't agree more man they make so many stupid mistakes and they're all so simple to fix. And yeah I saw the same thing everyone was confused and had no clue where to be or what to do. The tackling is a whole other post in it's self good lord 2 weeks in a row had the man contained then BOOM they're gone. We gotta start meeting the man at the hole and wrap up arm tackling has killed us 2 weeks in a row now. Hell we might want them to with the way we've been playing...
Don't know how good Grundy is, but the score really suprised me.
Me to man and from all the ball I've seen this year they're pretty damn good. GW has best some good teams and gave 2 very good teams all they could handle. So for Grundy to score like that they're a pretty solid bunch.

Same here. Grundy is supposed to be awesome on the line of scrimmage. I think the Golden Wave are the favs out of Region 1D. Grundy earlier in the year gave Ridgeview a pretty good game also, so they must be pretty good.
Not to nitpick but who are the good teams they beat? Didn't see Graham game but not sure if they give them all they could handle and I did come to the Radford game, from what I seen they got Radford at the right time with them not fully clicking yet and a lot of first game mistakes and not to mention the rain and yes I know they both had to play in it but I feel like with Radford's style of play might hinder them more. I do believe this GW team has a lot of potential to make a run but they're a lot like Galax right now not playing like they're capable of and both of them better pull their head's out of their backsides if they want to be a factor in the playoffs.
Galax played the worst first half I've seen them play in a long time. Looked like they were just going through the motions with 4 unforced turnovers in the half. You let a team like Fort hang around for to long and they will pull the upset. Galax looked better in second half still have a lot to work on if they want to make a run.
im telling you their QB who is their safety is the one who lines up the d and since hes been out they have had trouble. will be back on 10/28
