There is no more East and West. VHSL went back to the 4 region format. GW is Class 4 Region D, probably the toughest region in the whole state (top to bottom). GW, Amherst, Salem, Blacksburg, EC Glass, LCA, Charlottesville, JF, Basset, Carrol County, Pulaski, and one other team that I can't think of right now.

top 8 teams make playoffs based on vhsl rating scale... higher seed hosts all the way through region championship then winner plays region c champion

LCA left their first stringers in and Appo didn't, big difference

For real ! come on now ! Appo played j.v and 3 rd stringers in 2 be half . Score at half time was 28-24 Appo if that means anything for a scrimmage , but they surly did not give it to them , looked like LCA wanted to win on the scoreboard no matter what . Don't see a lot of drop off for the raiders !!
