Mount Airy is usually pretty good and i think Holston lost quite a bit to graduation and they're breaking in a new coach, with that being said I think GW will be better than they were last year.
We are in a spot where 8-2 9-1 is possible but we are also in that area where 4-6 5-5 is also very possible. We are extremely young only 2 seniors on the team both of which are linemen. The should be starting QB is out til September or October form what I'm hearing but his twin brother is a very good backup option. The killer speed isn't in the backfield like usual but we have good speed and some bruisers the other skills at pretty solid. The D is hungry and young and can be violent at times but with the youth comes big mistakes. Basically this year comes down to can all that youth come together. If so I'd bet all I have on 9-1. If not I'd be extremely surprised with 5-5. Our schedule is brutal this year so if they click by mid season we'll be a very dangerous team to see on Friday night. But if that click doesn't happen it'll be a sad year to be a Maroon. And if not that youth will grow and we'll be crazy good in 2 years. Either way I'm so happy football is "hopefully" back.
