Well fellas I really don't know what to think about My Maroons so far. We have shown some moments of great ablity and we've shown moments of absolute failure. This team without question has the talent to win alot of games. But to this point they haven't shown that at all. As much as I bitch about coaching I don't know how much of what's wrong is all coaching. Granted a much better connection between players and coaches would help. And much more respect both ways would help ALOT! Either way you look at it something has to be fixed on the hill. No matter what side of the fence you're on we can all see that.
Now to the game GW can win this game and I think we will win but I always think GW will win. If the team who has came out thumping shows up we win if not it's gonna be a great night for Chilhowie.
We have the running and passing attack to throw points up quickly. But thus far we haven't we also haven't used all the weapons right. LANDON THOMPSON is a freak that kid is a tank with legs. But we have not used him on O at all really. On D he has caused terror for the opponents in the run game. And so far that's been our one true stand out ablity. Our run D is on point the middle hasn't really been there for anyone yet. Our Pass D has its moments of clarity but then it all falls down we are open over the middle badly.
This will be a game of who does what best. And has the least mistakes GW has had the ball on the ground 80% of the game ever game so far. And we've thrown ints like crazy. If we can clean that up and make teams respect our run game we will be hard to deal with. I mean our line is still very big and very talented so the holes are there we just have to hit them. I've seen Deacon have time to write a book and the WRs just have ran the route right. This team can and will win if they finally click.
On to Chilhowie they lost alot but they seem to have made up for that. The Sanchez kid is a stellar player who has no quit. Sadly last year he was injured for the game against GW. But last year GW had so many killers I don't think it would've mattered. This year his success will be determined by his line play. Our D is stiff up the gut with mountains of man in the middle. And with really good speed on the edges. Our DBs are quality players but they get put of place alot and taken deep. Plus it doesn't help that we sell out the entire middle of the field 99% of the time. But I counter that with Delp is gone. Chilhowie can win this game no questions they have the coaching to do so and the talent is there also. But it will all come down to who win the trench war. I have to give that edge to GW we simply have to much In that department. For me I won't be surprised either way this game goes if GW win or if Chilhowie wins. But I honestly think GW will finally FINALLY bring it as a TEAM and not a group of 11 individuals. And that is what wins game team play so as a life long GW fan here is to hoping for a team effort.
So with all of that said you know I gotta go with MY MAROONS GW-42 Chilhowie-28
Best of luck to everyone and safe travels.
P.S Chilwar my friend if you are attending this game I'd love to meet up and lean something from you.
