GW is coming off a win over a very good Galax team imo followed by a week off so we should be rested and ready. We will have to be to be able to keep up with a very good Honaker team that is on a 5 game streak and showing no signs of slowing. This game should be a Run vs Pass heavy game GW will almost always keep the ball on the ground and from what I've seen from the Tigers they like to air it out a bit. I don't know anything about their ground attack and no disrespect but it's not what worries me. It is our lack of a pass D and Honakers amazing ability to air it out. But will GW show up and play tight D and try to keep the Tigers O in check or will it be another Radford game? Will the Weather play a part in the game making it harder to hold on to the ball or harder for Honaker to pass it? I think it might affect the deep ball for them but the over the middle could still prove a hard cover. If we are not careful they could suck our D up to slow the Run which we do a pretty good job of. But that will also open up huge gaps in our pass D it has all season. Our O should be able to move it on the ground we have a huge O line and hard running quick backs. With all of this said I see a high scoring but close game with GW edging it out late like against Galax. GW-42 Honaker-38

This year's tigers is a run first offense just like always. This is a different team than the last 2 times GW has seen us. Those 2 times we were blessed with senior qbs who had the experience to stand in the pocket and throw the ball. Our sophomore qb is coming alone nicely but if his first read ain't there then he tucks it and runs. When he is a senior he will be in then same league as the last two. Honaker has got to be able to run the ball for good yardage and be able to throw the ball when we want to and not when we have to. That's where I think we will struggle is if we are stuck in 3rd and long all night. The defense has only given up 27 points all year. Thats pretty good but they havent faced the best of offenses. Other than that I really can't tell you anything about the tigers. Like it has been stated on here many times we haven't played the best of competition this year. So this young team has not been tested at all. They have had 5 games to get things in order and get some confidence but now it's time to get hit in the mouth by someone with a pulse! How will they respond? I have no idea! I guess we will see Friday night!

I have only seen you guys play these last 2 games and like you said the QB's on those teams were very good and the WR's were crazy to. And youth is one of our problems as well. Our line is 4 sophomores and 1 Jr but they are big and can move the Jr is 6'5 250-60 and our C is 6'3 250 these 2 are also 2 of our best D line. I don't see anything other than a really good game between 2 good teams 1 thing I will say about GW is we've been lucky to get sacked by Radford and taken to h the last second by Galax. And I hope it's a smash mouth game like the last 2 have been. Good luck to the Tigers and My MAROONS lol and safe trip to all heading to the game
