All-Star Kevon Ferrell has announced that he will be playing his senior season at St. Benedict Prep in New Jersey. The school is a consistent top 25 team nationally, and has been selected by NBA Star Steph Curry for a documentary called “Benedict Men”. The school has had a number of NBA players such as JR Smith, Tyler Ennis, Tristan Thompson, Lance Thomas, Trevon Duval (Duke), and many D-1 players.

To say this is a big loss is an understatement, but it’s what’s best for him. Maybe this will get some scouts to finally notice the pure talent we have in the 434.

Big loss for Halifax team next year, but can't help but be happy for the young man. Congrats for him for taking this step.

UPDATE: He has backed out of the commitment, citing that he’s found a better situation closer to home so his family could watch.

Very smart by the young man IMO. The Piedmont isn’t very good as a whole and he wants more exposure. Halifax will still be loaded this season even without Ferrell.
