Hampton Crabbers

Crabbers should be a contender... think their shot at a state title will be better in 2015-16 though (along with Potomac and Green Run) in 5A, where it's absolutely stacked. They have one of the best perimeter trios in the state with PG Mastadi Pitt, SG Marquis Godwin and G Jalen Ray. Pitt is a steady ball handler and penetrator. Godwin has excellent shooting range and next-level size that has translated into a few offers already. Ray may have the best b-ball IQ of the bunch.
As tricky as 5A is to navigate, the good thing for Hampton is that I don't see anyone in the PenSouth Conference in 5A-South challenging them for the top. The only team I see being able to get them in conference is Menchville, and that's probably only if the Monarchs have a good night and Crabbers have a bad one.
