Chelsie Schweers, 24, stepped down after only 8 months on the job as the HC at Hickory to continue her professional playing career overseas. I don't blame her from a professional and financial standpoint, but what about the roster of kids who depend on her day in and day out for mentorship and guidance. As she stated I can imagine it was a tough decision, I just know that kids buy into who the coach is and to lose that person in the midst of a season is rough. From the looks of her 10-6 record she was turning the program around in the right direction. I hope she fares well throughout the rest of her playing career and returns to coach in the area afterwards.
