Pioneer looks like them blue devils just shocked your team
Everyone knows why this post was posted. Its irrelevant to Hopewell winning it was more of Heritage losing.I would not say this was a shock. Two simular teams in size and athleticism. It's just the winner was more balanced. Can't be a one trick pony. By the way what was Walkers numbers for Hopewell???
So you don't agree that these were two evenly matched teams? Both big, athletic and both with two outstanding d1 running backs. The main difference was a stout Hopwell defense. I think the averaged giving up less than 10 during the playoffs.
Amen. I also think Heritage relied way too much on Davis. In 20 years no one will look at the record book and say "you know if it wasn't for the turn overs Heritage would have won." That s part of the game. I guess Hopewell had nothing to do with those turnovers.
Not to take anything away from Hopewell, but without the turnovers, Heritage wins by 14.
agreeeeed! "Not to take anything away from hopewell"...that statement is taking the defense away from hopewell. The defense that read a route, jumped it, and returned it for 6. I love watching that replay. Not to take anything away from Hopewell, but without the turnovers, Heritage wins by 14.
And without Davis Heritage is a sub .500 team.
Murphy's quotes after the game talk about studying that play, as soon as he saw it develop he recognized it. Film definitely backs that up. Great preparation.according to my radar screen, Hopewell had done some good film work on Heritage, and saw that play developing before it happened.
