Berrios
went on a scoring tear to end the second half of his junior year. He set a career-high with 33 points in
Hopewell's 78-70 overtime win over Prince George. Berrios scored seven points in
the extra session.

A 2nd team All-District selection as a sophomore, Berrios said
he is getting recruited by several schools including the University of Richmond
and Elon University. "They are looking at me as a shooting guard," Berrios said.
"I'm working on my ball skills and my defense. Plus, I want to improve
my jump shot, strength, and quickness."

A two-year starter, Berrios has
been on the varsity since he first entered high school. The 6-foot-2 guard is an
excellent shooter and a better slasher. He has a knack for scoring
from anywhere on the court.

He's working on becoming a more complete
player. He had a big summer playing for the Richmond Squires AAU team. Where has
he made the most improvement "My knowledge of the game and my defense," he
said. "I've learned how to be more of a vocal leader. We are a young team and
being that this is my third year on varsity, I have to be the leader on the
team."
