I thought west point was supposed to roll over colonial beach

Yes, I am surprised that WP lost last night, but CB was the better team last night; better coached and players played with better discipline. If you go back to my OP you will see the things that I said needed to happen for WP to win did not happen and things that I said CB needed to do in order to win did happen.

I said CB had to stop #44, #23 and #4 to win. I said that if WP's OL blocked the way they were supposed to block that CB could not stop WP's RBs. CB's DL outperformed WP's OL. It is that simple.

CB's offense success came due to the D that WP decided to run (and stayed in for 4Qs without any adjustments). IMO, it was a flawed concept from the start because it did not address CB's strengths. It was obvious by the end of 1Q that the WP D was not doing what it was supposed to do. If WP made adjustments at 2Q, then CB would probably not have put up 18 points in the 2Q and the teams would have gone into the half with WP up 6-0.

Another factor bearing on the loss was all three RBs left the game for injuries. #44 left the game near the end of the 2Q and never returned to offense. He came back in for CB's last O series playing gimped. #23 left the game on WP's first O series of the 3Q and came back for limited plays in the 4Q, playing gimped. #4 left early in the 4Q and only saw limited action in the 4Q playing gimp. WP was left with running their Safety at RB in the 4Q. With these key players out, CB was able to put up just 6 points in the 3Q and just 6 points in the 4Q.

In summary, the score is what it is primarily due to key injuries, but CB proved to be the better team and deserved the W, regardless if it was 18-6 or 30-6. The only area that CB disappointed me in was the lack of sportsmanship. Rapp Co., Northampton and Rapp all showed great sportsmanship, never trashed talked, never taunted and helped our players up off the ground, even after a big run. There were several players on the CB side that overtly taunted and trashed talked the WP players and the WP fans standing on the fence. This was done in plain sight and sound of 2 officials and the officials never penalized CB, or even spoke to the CB players. This tarnished my otherwise positive opinion of the CB team. Like I said in a previous post in reference to Rapp, sportsmanship is a direct reflection of the coaches and parents.

So I believe the most underrated team just may be CB. But WP's loss last night does not make WP the most overrated team. If WP can fix their defense scheme woes and fix their O line blocking, they will make the playoffs and have a good chance against any other team in the NN or Three Rivers they may face. But you can't go 4Qs and not make adjustments and expect to win.
