I know the Region A folks are getting all the love, but how competitive can Region B become during the playoffs thoughts please ?
Region B represents the east in Salem....I know the Region A folks are getting all the love, but how competitive can Region B become during the playoffs thoughts please ?
Redpridenation are you accusing me of all people of baiting lol ! Good post manOk I will bite. If the season ended today, the current matchups are as follows:
#1 Riverheads vs #8 Rapp Co
#4 Central Lunenburg vs #5 Altavista
#3 Wm Campbell vs #6 Franklin
#2 Sussex vs #7 Surry Co
In my opinion I could see the second round looking like this (and I stress I COULD see not that I do because I still think there is movement and matchup changes before the end of the season)
#1 Riverheads vs #4 Central Lunenburg
#2 Sussex vs #6 Franklin
In all likelihood regardless of the first round, the regional final will be the chalk picks.
#1 Riverheads vs #2 Sussex
I think Franklin could upset a Wm Campbell or Central Lunenburg but I am not sure how well that young team will respond to the playoffs. The rest to me is chalk. I cant see Surry or Rapp Co pulling an upset and the other 3 play each other so the familiarity kind of spoils the drama there. Just my .02
I see the Tigers making a trip to Greenville on Nov 29th. It will be a tall task for the tigers since Riverheads hasnt lost at home to a 1A opponent since 2009. But all streaks have to end sometime so anything is possible.I know the Region A folks are getting all the love, but how competitive can Region B become during the playoffs thoughts please ?

FYI it was Sussex who ended that historical dynasty of Southampton back in 70s and 80s, it was very comparable.I see the Tigers making a trip to Greenville on Nov 29th. It will end eventually. Hope both make it to the regional championship so Sussex gets that opportunity to end their reign.FYI it was Sussex who ended that historical dynasty of Southampton back in 70s and 80s, it was very comparable.

Southampton owned the 70's maybe early to mid 80'sFYI it was Sussex who ended that historical dynasty of Southampton back in 70s and 80s, it was very comparable.
You are hilarious!! LOLIf my ole tractor will start ? I will chip in on that lunch date . I really would like to match a face to a poster. For health reasons I have not been able to watch some of the games this season , but I am feeling better and once I get a new battery in my ride I plan on not missing another game . Big Red needs the gas we put on the fire ! Go Big Red !!!!!!!!
Remember during my travels I’ve been stopping by Riverheads high school , spreading That Sussex County Peanut Dust near the Cow pasture in front of the school , actually I will stop by today coming from Lexington ( MoJo man )I see the Tigers making a trip to Greenville on Nov 29th. It will be a tall task for the tigers since Riverheads hasnt lost at home to a 1A opponent since 2009. But all streaks have to end sometime so anything is possible.
Man I’m all in on stopping you guys man lol whatever it takes .@trutiger16, you better stop that mess, lol.
Wow ! Shots fired ( Go one) lolIt could be this year. Like someone else mentioned, it will come to an end at some point. I don't want it to until my youngest goes through but that's just being greedy since he is 7, lol.
Understandable..good points! I really hope this Sussex team is legit but honestly most Alumni have seen them at homecoming. No disrespect but the team that they played wasn't a good measuring stick. From what I hear(hometown friend who doesn't miss a game), this Tiger's team is back to playing smash mouth football.@TIGER...NATION, you are right that playing up helps WC, CL and Altavista. The thing is they usually win a couple of those so I am not as confident as I was last year in them. I agree they are capable and shouldn't be overlooked. Unless this Tigers team is using smoke and mirrors to get to their record and power points, I would give them the edge if I had to make a pick today. The matchup WC has this week with a resurgent Nelson and next week with Appo will tell who they are. IMO they need to win against Nelson and show well against a very good Appo to convince me they are threats in the region.
The one key attribute this team has developed since last year is the ability to join you in a bar fight , yes they will hit you and will not back down all important factors WHEN we see the Riverheads next month. Sussex offensively is the best I’ve seen since 2016, but they haven’t peaked which is good news. Jefferson is starting to do something’s I have not seen since that 2016 squad. Not saying the Tigers will conquer the Gladiators but if they do not Riverheads will face a physical challenge from the Tigers ! If you go back to my pre season post were I named specific key players who must elevate their play they all have responded as expected. Ricky Swarn is a rising presence who is ready to be a force down the stretch for the Tigers on Defense. The Tigers must be ready to leave Staunton battered and bruised but with a win many sacrifices must be made to get the job done , we have done it before.Understandable..good points! Yeah I would like to see Sussex get another shot at Casto T lolI cant lie, I am hopeful the Gladiators win out and host your Tigers. A game with WC, CL or Altavista is not quite as appealing to me only because we have faced them in the past couple of years. Split Veer versus Casto T would be a good matchup for sure.
