Did anyone hear about the game in Illinois where a team had a 10-7 lead and the ball on 4th down, with 4 seconds to go. QB threw a long pass down field, time expired. Was flagged for intentional grounding. Opponent was given ball with no time on clock, and kicked a FG to tie, then won in OT.

Did anyone hear about it? I doubt there are many people who didn't hear about that.I followed the court hearing on twitter yesterday morning.

What a major screw up. The crew was supposed to work the Illinois 3A state championship, but that assignment was rightfully pulled. I would expect a suspension next year as well. It's one of the few times a team can say the officials cost them the game and I would agree with it.

(Incidentally, the exact same thing happened at the end of the Cntral Michigan - Oklahoma State game that OSU should have won but CMU ended up winning. Now OSU wants the playoff comittee to count it as a win and the committee says no, their record stands as it is.)
