Is it time for VHSL to move to locations with TURF fields?

JMU would be the right location right now. Unfortunately, I imagine the VHSL is locked in to a deal with Radford for years to come.
No lights, no shade, no fun, when you're talking about Radford.
At least in Harrisonburg, you have outstanding facilities right next to each other (baseball and softball) to hold the championships. Plus, they have a fairly new field to play kick ball. So, there you go!

They can't stop the weather and the folks who have been running events for the VHSL at Radford do work hard, but after 11 or 12 years there IT IS time for a change of venue, but is the $$ right for the VHSL to use JMU and Liberty....agree totally with this suggestion.

when it comes to selecting venues for state tournaments, VHSL has very little common sense, or knowledge of facilities. RU is not a good venue. Much better facilities in other parts of the state. Personally I think they should put every state tournament in Lynchburg.

If only 500 that is going to be a major problem. If Amherst plays, that will not be enough seats trust me. What a shame to play at place such as this when there are other venues much better. Never been to Radford but from I am reading on here shame on whoever picked this place. JMU or Liberty, come on people.

RU is a very bad venue for baseball and softball. It is better now than when VHSL first moved games up there. Baseball games should be moved to Liberty's new stadium. when the new LU softball stadium is a reality, move softball there also. Meantime, softball should be moved to VT.
