I had forgotten my login information and could not remember which email address I used to even be able to reset my password. 🙃 I was using my old account @Pioneers02Champs occasionally. I'm glad to be back and able to connect with everyone again!

I am no longer living in Lynchburg or affiliated with E.C. Glass anymore so I haven't been following Seminole District and Class 4 football as much. My new location and school has me following Class 6 more but no one really posts much about Class 6, so here I am.

Gimme Phoebus, Danville, Huguenot, and Tusky.

Hard to pick against Salem, Dinwiddie and my Varina boys but I’m just going off of matchups.

Good to see you back posting. I was wondering where you had disappeared to.

My 4 Reg picks would be Phoebus, Salem, Huguenot, Tuscarora.
Reg A is weak outside of Phoebus. Reg B is as strong as ever. Reg C is a mystery as always. Reg D just seems down to me this year.

I can't figure Glass out. They beat Heritage last week and then turn around and lose to Rustburg. I assume they will sneak into the playoffs as a 5-5 #8 seed. Depends on which team shows up for the playoffs.

Sticking with Lynchburg football for a minute, I can't figure out Heritage either. Overall 8-2, but they lose to Glass last week and barely beat Brookville this week. I wonder if they had a major injury late in the season?

Anyway, good to have you back!

Mike I agree 100% about your assessment of the caliber of the 4 regions.

As far as the Glass-Heritage game goes, I was at that game and Heritage probably played their worst game of the year that night. Heritage gave up a KR for a TD, had 2 bad punt snaps that gave Glass the ball inside the 20 and the 5, and lost a fumble. Even with all of that Glass was only able to score 1 offensive TD and that was on the possession that started inside the Heritage 5.

As for Heritage-Brookville, I don't have any insight on that.

Salem is the team to beat in Region D. I don’t care if 3Putt is calling plays, Salem is always going to be the “team to beat in 4D”. I’d love to see GW represent the region in the state semi’s and I believe they’ll give the Spartans a good fight. Gotta beat the man to be the man.

Glad to hear it! I plan to come to the Region B championship game this year if my school isn't playing (North Stafford). Hopefully the Generals will be a participant, and we can meet.

Best game Brookville has played all season Mike. Actually recovered an onside kick in the 4th and had an opportunity to take the lead. Don't be surprised if Rustburg knocks them off in the 1st round next week.

No sir, I traded in my whistle for a radio LOL. I'm an administrator now. I coached in Lynchburg for a long time, though. Most recently at Glass 2014-2022 before moving to Stafford. But thanks for the compliment. Our coaches and players have really bought in this year!

I agree with BN. I was impressed with everything about NS this year. The players were disciplined and focused, and unlike previous years, you could tell they WANTED to be there. The interaction that I had with the coaches was pleasant. They acted very professional. (You would me amazed at how unprofessional many coaching staffs are).

But the biggest difference was the quality of play. They were a 1-19 team going into that game. They played like they were defending champions. A couple more breaks falling their way and they could have won that game.

After we played GW, I said that GW will probably not lose another game during the regular season. I said about the same thing after our game with NS. And except for the crazy loss to Stafford, I was correct about the Wolverines too.

Now that the old NS is back, it’s ashamed that we are no longer on each other’s schedules.
