These two teams swapped TDs in the first half and went to the locker room tied at 21. There were a couple things very obvious by that time. First, JM was not going to run on the Charger D and second, except for the D line the Chargers looked very lethargic. Once JM realized the first, they ate the Charger secondary up. On two drives in the second half they were 100% on their completions and they threw every down. The Chargers just couldn't do anything about it. Absolutely not the D backfield I've seen most of this year. And while JM was completing passes, I counted 9 dropped passes by Charger receivers. It just wasn't there tonight. Didn't even look like the Chargers I've seen most of this year. Makes me wonder if they let the Cougars beat them twice in one week! Yes, very, very frustrating.
On to next week. Lick the wounds and move on.
