I just checked out Lafayette's schedule and their margin of victory in all of their games for this season. I'm impressed. From what I observed, they really haven't been challenged much, which means they have not had to make in-game adjustments that much at all. Anytime a team goes into the state championship game undefeated and unchallenged, it says a lot about them. In my opinion, they must have a strong defense and a potent offense that is tough to stop. With that being said, Magna Vista has had a great season also (13-1), with their only loss coming to 4-A G.W. Danville who played a nearly flawless game on October 17th. That same G.W. team finished their season with a loss to Salem (who I think will beat Lake Taylor in the 4-A championship game - just my opinion). Anyway, the Magna Vista Warriors have played games where they were not really challenged, but they also have played games where they have had to make in-game adjustments and even rally from behind to win (just as they did in the semi-final). This group of guys (the Magna Vista Warriors) have learned to come together as a unit and believe in one another on and off the field. Although I am a Magna Vista Warrior supporter, I also give a lot of credit to Lafayette for having an undefeated season up to this point. Trust me, this will be a great state championship game. Hopefully, Lafayette will bring as many fans as we will be bringing. Warrior Pride runs deep and believe me the WARRIOR NATION will be LOUD AND PROUD at Liberty University. May the best team win and may all players be injury free. See you all Saturday in Lynchburg.
