Just my thoughts: Magna Vista vs Lafayette

I just checked out Lafayette's schedule and their margin of victory in all of their games for this season. I'm impressed. From what I observed, they really haven't been challenged much, which means they have not had to make in-game adjustments that much at all. Anytime a team goes into the state championship game undefeated and unchallenged, it says a lot about them. In my opinion, they must have a strong defense and a potent offense that is tough to stop. With that being said, Magna Vista has had a great season also (13-1), with their only loss coming to 4-A G.W. Danville who played a nearly flawless game on October 17th. That same G.W. team finished their season with a loss to Salem (who I think will beat Lake Taylor in the 4-A championship game - just my opinion). Anyway, the Magna Vista Warriors have played games where they were not really challenged, but they also have played games where they have had to make in-game adjustments and even rally from behind to win (just as they did in the semi-final). This group of guys (the Magna Vista Warriors) have learned to come together as a unit and believe in one another on and off the field. Although I am a Magna Vista Warrior supporter, I also give a lot of credit to Lafayette for having an undefeated season up to this point. Trust me, this will be a great state championship game. Hopefully, Lafayette will bring as many fans as we will be bringing. Warrior Pride runs deep and believe me the WARRIOR NATION will be LOUD AND PROUD at Liberty University. May the best team win and may all players be injury free. See you all Saturday in Lynchburg.

That was very well said and I agree 100% I just got one thing to add to that PUT my Son in Coach! Go Warriors

The only guarantee I have in this one is that MV will bring in way more fans than Lafayette.

I hope MV wins because they pass the ball more.

No just kidding, I know more people in Magna Vista than I do Lafayette.

Problems

I think MV spread will pose problems for Lafayette. They got some big physical receivers and their QB is a beast.

Re: Problems

Lafayette is better defensively than offensively. Their defense was the key this year to the many blowouts they had - short fields all season long, turnovers, special teams... This game could be low scoring. I don't think its a big problem - I got Lafayette 21-14.

Re: Problems

Interesting - season high in points allowed and season low points scored. Nice posting for the locker room.

Re: Problems

Lafayette 70 MV 2. Lafayette runs the ball out of the endzone late 4th quarter to help MV avoid the shut out!

Re: Problems

Hey there hero don't take it so personal that's his prediction, it's not like he's downing anyone

Re: Problems

Re: Problems

I expect a very close game, maybe along the lines of 28-28. Anything possible from there

Re: Problems
