That right there is what we call a “moral victory”!
I agree. KW dressed 41, WP dressed 17 and WP's lead tackler and RB (23) did not play in the game due to an injury. KW did 3 smart things that kept WP to just 6 points: 1) KW ran a hurry up offense to gas WP's 2-way starters, 2) KW's D was focused on stopping #44 on the run, and 3) KW's OL double teaming WP's LBs. KW really didn't have an answer for #44 who rushed for 65 yards in the first half on 16 carries. There was no guess as to who was going to carry the ball. I don't know if it was KW half-time adjustments or that WP's O was gassed or if it was #44 playing both ways with 28 carries, but KW did a better job in the 2nd half at controlling #44 who had only 19 yards on 12 carries. WP went to the air in the 4Q and #44 only had 3 carries in the 4Q and ended the game with 28 carries and 84 yards rushing. KW's only 2 scores came in the 1Q when WP was in a 3 man front. This played right into KW's D scheme to send OL to double team WP's LBs. The score would have been worse if WP stayed in the 3 man front. WP's D adjustment blanked KW in the final 3 quarters of play, which is extraordinary with just 17 players. Do I think KW is overrated? No. I think WP is underated
