KW vs Greensville

NEWS: #KingWilliam County Public Schools closing Thursday & Friday (11/17 & 18) due to being "unable to properly provide adequate coverage in our buildings and classrooms". This is due to rise in flu and other illnesses.

The #Region2A Football Semifinal between @KWHSFB and Greensville Friday is still on as of now, "...providing we have adequate adult supervision." Message sent out by Superintendent David White Wednesday afternoon.

Flu is hitting a lot of schools hard this year. Been pretty nasty in Southwest Virginia as well.

Oh my, go figure. Region A at it again. Never a week goes by. No question, prayers for the sick and hopefully they all get better, but it's just amazing. Every single week down there in either Class 1 or 2, there is some kind of event that either cancels a game, or jeapordizes a game.

Every Region has Covid, Flu, and crime that effects towns and students outside of school to some degree. In Reg A, ya'll just seem to not deal with it as well as rest of Virginia. I bet you have a bunch of leftists who have taken over your school systems, and all the canceled games or threatened canceled this year are the products of your leadership like You Epjr. You aren't about "safety and quality assurance." Some of the leaders there in those schools are about wokism and laziness, and they hide behind the cloke of the "kids, safety, and quality assurance."

King William has a rich history down there. Going to be tough to beat again for any team that faces them. The RB for KW that went to Wake got a good amount of carries this year as a true freshmen. Kid has game!

Don't let him fool you. I recall Tazewell County (Graham is in this county) shutting the schools down for flu a few years back for a couple days because of a similar situation. Tazewell County is also known for shutting down the schools when one flake of snow flies (We do have quite a rugged terrain, but sometimes it's a little much). We care for the safety of the kids on this end of the state too. Most of us over this way are conservative, for sure, me included. It's the extremists that give both of us a bad name. The safety and well being of kids is much more important then winning a football game, in my opinion. On a side note, I would love to see a re-match of last year's title game in Salem again, with a different outcome, of course.

Football games get made up. Canceled games aren't made up. Big difference with Reg A the last 2 years and Tazewell County. Many games never made up.
