Sloppy first Q with 2 fumbles and allowing Smithfield an 88 yard KO return, which turned out to be their only points of the game. After 3 minutes into the 3rd Q it was a running clock and all the subs went in. Smithfield finished with a total of 47 yards and 4 first downs. Defense excelled again. Smithfield played hard and had some negative yard stops but in the end just wore down.

Lafayette has a stable of backs to run the rock. QB is smart and has multiple players that can catch the ball.

Defense continues to be one of the best in the state - had 5 takeaways tonight and were way more physical than Smithfield.

Defense was great. Considering at home the week before Smithfield torched the Dinwiddie defense for a couple of long TD passes it looks even better. Defense gave up zero points. Next week finally a home game but a very tough Warhill. Excellent defense and their all everything Noah Holmes on both sides of the ball. Could be a defensive struggle.
