That fumble just before the end zone with a minute in the half was disappointing! Interesting to see when 2nd half is played . Another long haul!!I saw this on NFHS and it looked like 2 very good teams IMO. I know it was only one half but put both these teams in the conversation for class 3 & 4. What Phoebus did yesterday though… Wow!
How will this effect them points wise? Like the game didn't happen?Probably won't be finished...
Could go down as a tieHow will this effect them points wise? Like the game didn't happen?
Does VHSL recognize ties? I read the rules the best I can (no expert) and games continue until a winner. I saw no mention of permanent ties.Could go down as a tie
I don't think it's been an issue since they adopted OT. I tried to find something on it too but didn't see anything. It's going to be interesting to see what VHSL does if the game is not completed.Does VHSL recognize ties? I read the rules the best I can (no expert) and games continue until a winner. At least both teams,if not completed, got a good half in against a quality opponent. Lafayette had both scrimmages canceled and needed some real game experience. From what they said last night if the game isn't completed it will be a no contest. Total points would be divided by 9
I wonder why they scheduled for Sat night instead of Friday night? Maybe so Lafayette didn't have to leave school early? If they wanted to play Saturday, looking at a weather forecast would have told you it needed to be in the morning or afternoon. The storms weren't unexpected. When JM/Stafford had to suspend their game Friday night, they played Sat morning at 1000.
Thanks DP. That would mean the game would be played Monday but that is the first day of school here. Williamsburg just this year started before Labor Day. I wonder how that complicates it. Haven’t heard yet so it doesn’t seem a slam dunk decision,I’m struggling to find out where it states what constitutes enough completion to declare a completed game.
Also, I can’t find how ratings points are decided for “in-state ties.
If they were to award "tie" pts, I would think halving between a W/L would work. 16 points for the tie & 1.5 points for each opponent's wins.I’m struggling to find out where it states what constitutes enough completion to declare a completed game.

I would assume that the same rules should apply as for an out of state contest. If they were to award "tie" pts, I would think halving between a W/L would work. 16 points for the tie & 1.5 points for each opponent's wins.
I'll adjust the Pick em after the game tomorrow.Yes, time TBD

They need to play tomorrow and then KG & Massaponax should play Saturday. I think Lafayette is off this weekend, right @LafayetteWell, tonite’s game for the 2nd half resumption per Lafayette AD 39 minutes ago is now cancelled due to bad weather forecasted. Should play here , weather perfect. Each side gets a home “game”. Play now gets awfully close to KG key game Friday against Massaponax.
Right we’re off this weekend so we can play anytime. I’m sure we were practicing our adjustments today! Let’s go win or lose!!They need to play tomorrow and then KG & Massaponax should play Saturday. I think Lafayette is off this weekend, right @Lafayette
Nope. Each have their own rulesI would assume that the same rules should apply as for an out of state contest.
I forget if it's a state or a national rule, but a game can be declared "official" after the completion of one half. And the "next day" part is regularly used as 'guidance", not as a rule.I’m struggling to find out where it states what constitutes enough completion to declare a completed game.

Another erroneous forecast!!Weather has cleared out, beautiful right now!
