STAUNTON - When Lee High won the Region 2B football championship last Friday night, it seemed like 1990 all over again.
That was the last year that Lee won a regional title in football. And, interestingly enough, Lee boys basketball won a state championship eight months earlier.
Chris Davis was part of both of those teams. And now, as a teacher at Lee, he's had a chance to watch history repeat itself, with the basketball team winning a state title and the football team winning a regional title in 2017.
Davis and I talk about those two titles, this year's football team and, just for fun, a little volleyball because of a special connection Davis has with this year's state champion Wilson Memorial Hornets.
