Lee vs the dawgs

Two days until Lee takes on those dawgs. I can't wait to watch this game. I will be there for the whole day but I am really excited to see this one. I'm saying Lee wins going away and not even close. Lee has the best collection of players in the state. Lee has had good players the last few years but have really been a disappointment on the court. This year is different. They have the players to overcome a weakness in another area( you know what I mean).

Mavahi will show up Sat., and Lee may win by 50, but they won't be the best team the Dogs play this weekend. GW-Danville on Friday will be a huge test for the Dogs. Martinsville is not as strong this year as they have been the last 2, but they play hard and will give it their all. Going to be hard though playing Friday night then traveling 2-3 hours on Sat for a 3:00 tip. Does Lee have a game Fri?

No way. I said it before, unless Lee improves their defense they will not make it to the 2A final four. Tonight they gave up 79 to Harrisonburg. Lee will have the best player on the court, and George will get his 20-25. But expect Martinsville's defense to shut down the other Lee players (Vaughan might get his 10-15). Martinsville by 5-10 points, if not more.

I agree. I don't think East Rockingham will beat Spotswood next week, but they will give them a better game then Lee. East Rockingham is the team to beat right now in Conference 36, and Lee is the third best team in East behind ER and Madison County, IMO.

Leemen are not alone. GC has the same issues. I think both teams would have a serious shot at making the final 4 if they played defense and could harness all the individual talent. With GC not exactly being healthy I'm not so sure they come away with a win against Union tomorrow night. The Dogs will be a serious measuring stick for the Leemen and vice versa. If Lee doesn't play complete team ball against MHS... it will show on the scoreboard.

That was the ONE thing about Paul Hatcher's Lee teams - Defense - that you always knew would keep them in games.

It looks like a thing of the past nowadays.....

I was at the gym when they left this morning( working the youth league games )and the Dogs looked like a tired bunch of guys getting on the bus to leave for Lexington.
