Follow LIVE Updates tonight here via my Twitter feed as we watch the #1 ranked team in Class 6 - Colonial Forge (2-0) - take on the Grassfield Grizzlies (0-1) - here in Chesapeake.

Colonial Forge cruised to wins over Patriot and Albemarle, two playoff teams from a year ago. Meanwhile, Grassfield struggled in a loss to Deep Creek a week ago, committing five turnovers in the loss.

Will an upset be pulled? Or will the Eagles continue to soar? Find out...

Didn't take long for Colonial Forge to score. Josh Sarratt, the Conference 4 Defensive Player of the Year a season ago and a 1st Team All-State performer as a sophomore, puts the Eagles in front. Sarratt had two interceptions on defense in last year's State Semifinal loss to Oscar Smith.

Not a good start for Grassfield in this one. Already without one of their key DB's in Deion Parkes due to injury, they just saw another starting defender go down in Noah Hardy.

Colonial Forge isn't slowing down either.

Hard running from Seth Dobbs - who set a school-record for tackles and fumble recoveries for Grassfield a year ago - moves the chains with a gain of 10. However, the Grizzlies end up going backwards the next two plays on a false start and sack courtesy of Daquan Dandridge of the Eagles.

Grassfield facing 4th & 9 from the Colonial Forge 36 yard line to begin the 2nd quarter. Their passing game is starting to find some success with John Ransom doing damage in space after the catch. A must convert here coming up...

That's Mitchell Shinskie, #88 at defensive end, and #15 Nigel Reddick, playing linebacker, who have sniffed out the Grassfield running game extremely well this last series. They are setting the edge, and up front, the Eagles are getting good penetration as well.

Is there a more exciting, fun player in the state to watch than Josh Sarratt? The Colonial Forge junior, donning jersey #7, gets it done in all three phases of the game. Just has a knack for making plays and doesn't get stage freight at all under the bright lights.

Someone will be getting a heckuva College Football player. Think some FBS and FCS programs are sleeping on him a bit, perhaps due to size.

Eagles up to 245 yards of offense in this one. Looking every bit like the #1 ranked team in the state in the highest classification.

Quick correction (thanks to Rick Alliss here in the box) - 211 for Garwood.

The last 8 quarters of football - Colonial Forge has outscored its foes (Patriot, Albemarle & Grassfield) a total of 110-0.

That goes back to the half of the opener against Patriot in which the Eagles led 21-3.

Seth Dobbs deserves more attention from some of the FCS programs out there, and possibly even an FBS school. Similar in stature and hustle to Marvin Branch, ex-Nansemond River standout now leading ODU in tackles.
