Will Lord Botetourt challenge Northside ? They beat Northside 2 years ago in an awesome game and then last year fell a bit but still were a winning playoff team . Their coach has done a great job. The Cavs also had a undefeated JV team as well .

They should have a good running game returning their top 2 backs. I think Northside is probably more well rounded and will be able to move the ball on the ground or through the air. I've been hearing Staunton River may be improved and challenge for a top 3 spot in the BRD.

Then maybe they will be able to move the ball through the air too. Is he a receiver's coach? Did Salem not have any openings for him?

I was told Lythgoe tore his ACL and won't be able to play. Fletcher will still be there, but their running game may not be as good as last year.

Yeah Fletcher had more yards, it's just they were a good 1,2 punch.

He tore it a few months ago so it's quite possible he'll be back at some point. I don't think he'll be ready early in the year, but you probably have better sources than I do.

That's too bad. Lythgoe could get the tough yards and team defenses couldn't key on one or the other. Fralin will need to have a great passing year for LB to be an elite team without Lythgoe.

Lythgoe is in pads and at practice is what I heard. Word in Botetourt is a mid september return and no later than late September. Also another kid is emerging as a run threat. I think his name is Mecham?
