Stuarts Draft VA
Well, sadly this wasn't a game where it was decided on 1 play, the 1st of season for Stuarts Draft. It was also a big difference in 1st half and 2nd half.

Luray took the opening kickoff, and on their 1st play from scrimmage they fumbled it and SD took over at the 16. A few plays later SD scored to make it 6-0. Then we had our first kick of the evening (more later) as hit the left upright. 6-0 with just a little more than 1 minute off the clock. Then a good defensive stand and SD was back in business and a few plays later QB Freddie Watkins scored to bring the count to 12-0. XP was the blocked. Later on in the 1st half, Luray was facing a 3rd and 23 at around their own 30, but that was no obstacle for Mr. Dylan Jenkins as he picked up the first on a VERY tough round. They would go on to score, cutting the score to 12-6. Their kicker then went wide left. Just before the half was over, SD drove the ball all the way down inside the redzone. And then they proceeded to fumble it at the goalline. There was enough time for Jenkins and company to drive. Thy started with a couple QB sneaks, and then MR Jenkins took over. After a long run and a late hit, they were on SD side with a few ticks on the clock facing a 4th down. Ball on 26, and Luray went for FG. It was just a bit short and thats how we end the half.

2nd half its Draft ball. And yep, you guessed it, 1st play from scrimmage SD fumbles and Luray takes over. Few plays later and Luray tied it up with opportunity to take their first lead. Wide Left. 12-12. As soon as SD gets ball back, Logan Leache takes in down the sideline for about 45 yards inside redzone. After getting 1st and goal, SD backs up and lines up for FG. The first kick of the night is good. 15-12 around middle of 3rd qtr. Luray didnt waste much time in taking their first lead in the game at 19-12. The rest of the game was ALL Luray. I cant remember if it was down 19-15 or 25-15 (yes Luray had an XP blocked too) but SD had a nice drive going, and set up a great pass, it was 3rd and 11 at that point, and the receiver had already crossed the 1st down mark, when there was a block in the back and maybe a late hit. I wasnt looking at the end to see it, but the fans were yelling late hit and them were booing. Well being in pressbox and where the block in back was, the fans had no reason to boo, it was a clear and unecessary block in the back. They never threatened rest of the night.

Congratulations to Luray on a great win. From what I witnessed Luray is a fair amount better than anyone else in the district or anyone that I have seen. I havent seen Lee, so can't judge them, and I didnt see Luray vs Riverheads, but there is no question in my mind the best team I have seen thus far.

And Mr Jenkins, is BY FAR the best player I have seen. He is fast, quick, tough, and great leader. And seems like a really nice guy. Hope for the best for him in the future. I am glad you got to come out and showcase your immense talents tonight. I would have to imagine that him being out against Riverheads a HUGE factor, especially not planning it before the game
