I thought MV defense looked pretty good.. If im not mistaken I think they may have kept Mville out of the end zone, and had a couple of interceptions. Being a controlled scrimmage it was hard to read how the offense will be. Receivers were catching the ball, no really deep passes.. Lewis went to the house on an option play. Still struggled running the ball though. Not sure who the starting RB will be. Preston took a few snaps, quick back but small. I could see them using him on some sweeps. Dryus looked pretty good, nice zip on the ball, he seemed pretty comfortable behind center. Last year moving the ball wasnt a problem, but finding the endzone was a struggle. Hopefully being a year older they will be able to finish the drives. LCA should be a good matchup to start the season.
I heard 4 scores to 0. 1 one of the scores was indeed a returned interception.
Martinsville played without at least 6 or 7 kids who will likely be starters because they're dealing with some minor aches and pains. I would argue that that isn't such a bad thing in a scrimmage since they'll need to build some depth anyways.
