Cant wait for the rematch. Graham is playing good ball and extremely disciplined. They are a legitimate contender for the state title. Martinsville has the history and will surely come to play. Graham got the better of them first time around.

Graham plays a similar style, very defensive-minded, and I think Martin will be best player on the floor. Def rooting for the GMen, hope they stay alive.

Doubt very seriously that Graham has a player better than Pettway or that freshman from Martinsville. Ant what’s the kid’s name? I hate to keep calling him that freshman.

His name is Jaheim Niblett. He's listed as 6'4 and 215. If he continues to grow and improve, the sky is the limit.

Pettway and Martin are both pretty good ball players. I'd take them both on my squad.

Have you caught a Graham game? Martin is extremely talented. I prefaced it with in my opinion, it's certainly not infallible, but Martin is a superb player.
From what I've seen, which has been limited, Pettway is a fantastic ballplayer. Not denigrating him at all, just my take. Pettway played in the first matchup IIRC but another Dog was their best player that day, Bennett? Maybe that was his name, hit several shots.

A freshman that was on JV all year is better than a senior that has D1 interest? Come on DSH lol
Hey, I don’t doubt Martin is good but all I’m saying is this kid is good too. Jeff Atkins gotta turn him loose like he did Holland as a freshman. If he keeps on working, he’ll be a state player of the year candidate by his junior year.

It was DSH's first time seeing Jaheim play I'm sure. He came in and played real well on both ends against a very good Bobcat team. Lots of upside there, especially if the young man ends up 6'8 or so, but I'd agree it's an unfair comparison at this point.

It is an unfair comparison. I’m a fan of that kid. Wish he lived about 33 more miles east on 58 :D

Jahiem will be a beast. His mother and I grew up together, same HooD. I certainly have say, " Coach Adkins has talent coming down the pipeline". A few kids from JV will make an impact. DSH, keep ya ears open for Troy Brandon and Vonnte Manns. I have seen film on Martin from Graham and this young man is no joke. I hear that they are well coached. Martinsville certainly will have their hands full. I think it will be a good game.
Mayberryite and Hrsepasture1 can tell you better than I can about the talent pool that's coming.

Dogs will be in very good hands in the coming future. I’m hearing that Magna Vista is on their way up as well. The Piedmont will be very good with Martinsville, GW and hopefully MV. It remains to be seen if Franklin County can sustain their recent success.
