As expected Mathews won the region A tournament by sweeping Northampton and Northumberland.Northampton had a girl about 6' 3" who kept them reasonably close but the Mathews defense too good and kept them from getting on a big run.Northumberland didn't have a big team but played excellent defense and that enabled them to hang around a lot longer then I thought they would.Suzanne McLaughlin of Mathews was named tournament MVP,no one was more deserving.Good luck to both teams, I'm sure you will represent the region quite well.
