Grayson County 66, Rural Retreat 32

Tanner McPherson tossed in 17 points as the Grayson County Blue Devils rocked Rural Retreat in the first round of the Mountain Empire District tournament.

Second-seeded Grayson County actually trailed 15-10 after the first quarter, but rolled the rest of the way. Seth Phillips, a University of Virginia’s College at Wise football signee, added 16 points.

Senior guard Tyler Fiscus led Rural Retreat with 15 points.
