Midlothian 41, Prince George 40

At seasons start, PG was slated as a playoff contender. Now, starting out 0-2 and face HSHS this week. They stand a very good chance of coming out of the gate 0-3. Their playoff hopes seem to be fading...

so 0-3 too much to overcome to get in the top 8?

Gotta wait and see how long that goose egg stands thouch the course of 10 games! They still have to play Dinwiddie, Thomas Dale, Hopewell and Matoaca. They could go 3-7, 4-6 or 5-5! I don't think they are going to be in the playoffs!

PG will finish either 3-7 or 4-6. If they win 4 games, they will make top 8.

PG has lost to 2 teams that will probably be 8-2 or better this year. PG has a lot of talent but have the 2nd toughest schedule in the region. Freeman, Midlothian and HSHS is a tough out of district schedule and we all know about how good the Central District is with Dale, Dinwiddie, Matoaca and Hopewell.

Deep Run and Meadowbrook are very unlikely to win more than 3 games. JR Tucker and Mills Godwin are improved but I don't see either winning more than 4 games and some of those wins will be against 2A schools.

It will be interesting to see the scramble at the end of the season. It’s a cinch that there will be one or more teams with losing records make the playoffs.
