I ran into a Salem player today up my way. I forgot his name but had a hat on with #18 or 19 I believe. Very respectful kid and the more we talked the more I respect coach Mags and the discipline he instills in his players

The coaching staff does a great job considering all of the challenges that young people face nowadays. The overwhelming majority of Salem kids are wonderful respectful kids who manage to avoid the pitfalls thrown at them.
#18 is our QB, Jack Gladden, who really stepped up throughout last year and made tremendous improvement in his passing ability and becoming a team leader. He dates Coach Mag's daughter, who will be going to UR on a soccer scholarship.
#19 is Bobby Pinello, who played MLB as a Sophomore before having issues with Mono midway through the year and missing the end of the year. He is a good kid as well, his brother Vincent was a TE/DE on the '14-'16 squads and also wore #19. He is a defensive leader and at 6'1" 230 makes people think twice before coming across the middle.
