Mv vs LCA

What is everyone's thoughts? Does MV gotta a shot? Sounds like LCA is one of the favs in 3A! What y'all think?
Warriors will have a good season, my real concern for Friday is how will they travel? A Favero coaching staff and team will always “ have a shot”. They will be much improved over last year, let’s play the games and see what happens.
So lca plays home games at liberty u or at lca high school? I’ve heard that MV defense will be good not sure about the O
They play at Williams Stadium where Liberty University plays. This is probably the best 3A game in the state Friday along with Goochland and Lafayette. I want Magna Vista to win, but I don’t know what kind of running game the Warriors will have. Magna Vista’s O and D line will be supreme this year.
For real? I heard MV was suspect in the trenches, especially on offense! They struggled to move the ball inside against Mville who btw is def improved Coach Martin has them Dawgs headed in the right direction!
I'm with you martinsvillebulldog...suspect is a very accurate statement. MV really struggled with Martinsville Offensively and Defensively. Receivers caught the ball well which has been an area lacking in the Warrior's arsenal the last few seasons but there is a huge lack of running the ball on offense and the O-lines ability to hold any blocks to spring the back into the second tier. Receivers are still not blocking down field as the did in 2013-2015 seasons for the ball carriers. Of course I'm basing this solely on a scrimmage but I don't see any improvements at all in MV this season over last. I'm thinking a 4-6 record may be a successful season for MV this year. Just don't see the explosiveness of the old Favero teams. I'm thinking when Coach Johnson left for Bassett head coaching job that a lot of MV heart and soul went with him. There isn't a lot of fire in the MV teams the last few years...makes games like watching paint dry if you an MV fan! Bright spot I think will be Dryus Hairston at QB...kid has a cannon if he can find targets! I hope I'm wrong but I just didn't see any standouts or noteworthy plays from Martinsville scrimmage but hopefully Favero has a surprise for the MV fans that he didn't show in scrimmage but in my opinion LCA will win vs MV if they have a decent cover team in secondary because I can't see MV running the ball on any one...but again I hope I'm wrong and I have been many times in my life...good luck to the Warriors and hope both teams Friday night have an injury free game and it's a good one!
Big shock to me. I was told by a couple of coaches that the line would be the Warriors’ strength. Thank you for the correction.
If Taylor isnt a home run threat running the football nobody has one. The kid( a Liberty U commit ) can absolutely motor. He got to the corner on the long td run against the Dogs and just blew everybody away down the sidelines. Not a Warrior fan but they will be better than 4-6. Congrats to the O line coach of the Warriors on the new addition to the Warrior nation this morning. Hope mom and little one are doing fine!!
The online is big, agile, mobil and hostile. They are really good at pass pro and once they get there run blocking scheme done they will be nasty. Don’t know where that guy got his info but I’m very close to the team, being only two years removed from coaching there. They will be better and could be very good time will tell.
I was about to say lol.. Dallas, Roupe, Hayden, couple other guys. I knew they’d be legit but I didn’t want to step on any toes.
It was a good game for the Magna Vista Warriors. They completely shut down LCA's running game. RB Louis Taylor had a stellar game on the field that he will be playing college football on. Very impressive Game 1 for the Warriors. Warrior Nation should be proud. Next week, the Warriors travel to Dan River to take on the Wildcats. Let's Go Warriors!!
So after Friday night at LU...do you still stand behind this post? LOL I def feel I might have been wrong...looks like MV def had a shot!
