Just my opinion and for conversation purposes.

Region A:

1. Lancaster
2. Colonial Beach
3. Charles City
4. Northampton
5. Mathews

I could honestly see any of these 5 teams win the Region and any combination of the 5 making it to states.

Region B:

1. Riverheads
2. Sussex
3. Cumberland
4. Carver Academy
5. Franklin

Region C

1. Auburn
2. Bland County
3. Parry McCluer
4. George Wythe
5. Narrows

I think this is an interesting Region as well. Bland beat Auburn in their first game, but I really like the Eagles and Ethan Millirons.

Region D

1. Grundy
2. Eastside
3. JI Burton
4. Twin Springs
5. Northwood

I'd be surprised if the state representatives don't come from the top three. The state quarterfinal games with Region C should be some good games

#RESPECT for even attempting all 4 regions
I follow the entire state and try to watch teams from other regions when I can. Obviously I know more about Region A, but I know a pretty good amount about the other Regions as well.

Grundy is very good despite a top ten 1A player transferring out, but the loss to Richlands was puzzling.

Eastside/JIB are prob very close and could beat each other any given night.

I think just about every team in 1A has at least one puzzling loss this year. I definitely agree on Burton and Eastside. I remember the many battles that they had last year, nearly all coming down to the wire

Who would you peg as the favorite going into the postseason? Lancaster?

Eastside has had a couple of phenomenally talented kids in recent memory, a shame they couldn't bring home some hardware.

Honestly it's really wide open. Lancaster for sure is a favorite, but Region A is so wide open that they might not even get out of the Region. Eastside and Grundy from Region D, will be in the mix. The team I really like is Auburn. They have an elite point guard in Ethan Millirons and a solid core around him. It really should be fun to watch regional play and the state tournament, because it's about as wide open as I've seen it in awhile
