Read this article today. I think this is a good move for them. Many coaches wont humble themselves so they can build a solid program. They are coming out of Dogwood that will prevent them from playoffs even if they are 10-0 next season. I applaud the new coaching staff and AD (whom i know personally, Appomattox product) for this move. Maybe some of the kids will stay in Nelson county and not attend Amherst (oops, did i say that? Thats coming from a coach that knows where kids live in Nelson). Nelson have not been relevant for 15-20 years. Somebody in that community has to step up and start a youth league program. These kids end up playing for Amherst youth league. It starts there. Somebody has to step up in that community. Thoughts?
