this is my current ( 10/7/10) listing, again just my guess...

1. Jefferson Forest
2. Hidden Valley
3. Blacksburg
4. Cave Spring
5. Roanoke Catholic
6. Auburn
7, James River
8, Glenvar
9. Lord Botetourt
10. North Cross

ok, as stated this time of the year some teams step up and some don't. Here is my current list 10/12/10
1. Jefferson Forest ( but almost slipped up against EC Glass )
2. Cave Spring ( yes, they lost to Blacksburg, but strength of schedule counts)
3. Hidden Valley
4. Blacksburg
5. Roanoke Catholic
6. Auburn
7. James River
8. Glenvar
9. Lord Botetourt
10. North Cross

Next couple of weeks are pretty telling. Good luck to all teams.....

Next couple of weeks interesting, anyone can win or lose any night. Got to win to play.....

Here is my updated rankings as of November 5:

1. Jefferson Forest (22-0) - hasn’t been tested much by weak schedule but beat CS head-to-head early in season so earns #1 ranking for now.

2. Cave Spring (18-4) - beat HV 2 of 3 times and played very tough non-district schedule.

3. Hidden Valley (19-2) - only 2 losses are to CS but played weak non-district schedule.

4. Blacksburg (17-6) - 4 of 6 losses were to CS and HV; also beat CS once.

5. Patrick Henry (17-5) - 4 of 5 losses were to CS and HV. Undefeated in WVD.

6. Carroll County (22-0) - despite undefeated record, no one knows how good they really are due to weak schedule; plays Blacksburg on Monday so we will all know better soon.

7. EC Glass (16-8) - split with PH and lost to JF three times.

8. James River (19-2) - split with Lord Botetourt.

9. Lord Botetourt (17-7) - split with James River & Northside; advanced to Region III tournament.

10. Roanoke Catholic (22-4) - beat North Cross and now heads to state playoffs.


Others To Watch
---------------
Galax (18-2) - lost to Carroll County twice.
North Cross (19-4) - started 14-0 and now heads to state playoffs.
Auburn (19-6) - beat Northside and James River once each.
Tunstall (18-5) - Piedmont District #1.
Martinsville (15-4) - Piedmont District #2.
Northside (13-9) - split with Lord Botetourt and Blacksburg.
Franklin County (15-9) - finished 2nd in WVD.
